Screengrabber updated

I’ve just uploaded a new version of Screengrabber. The main feature in this version is that you can choose to have the screenshot open in an editor before it gets uploaded, so that you can remove any sensitive information etc. You do that by pressing down the Alt button in addition to the hotkeys you would normally press. This means Ctrl + Alt + PrnScrn for a screenshot of the entire screen that you want to edit, and Ctrl + Alt + Shift + PrnScrn for a screenshot of the current application that you want to edit.

A screenshot which has been edited in Paint before being uploaded.

You can set which editor to use in the settings dialog. The settings dialog now also lets you choose which color to fill the transparent parts of windows with.

The settings dialog.

Also, the client application is now multithreaded. This means that the user interface won’t freeze while waiting for the screenshot to upload. Additionaly, the code for both the client and the backend has had a huge cleanup, so it’s much easier to read and understand now.

I’ve also added support in the backend for using files for storage instead of a MySQL database. I figured a database for storing a few screenshots would probably be a bit overkill for most people.

So, go grab the updated download!
