After a year of high anticipation, Half-Life 2: Episode One was finally released this Thursday. I had already preloaded and preordered it through Steam, so about fifteen minutes after the release I was already waiting for the game to load. 
I finished the game yesterday, playing it on the normal difficulty level, and today I finished it a second time, this time with the commentary mode turned on and on the hard difficulty level. The game is really great, and if you haven’t played it yet I urge you to do so. You ought to have played through Half-Life 2 first though, to get the most out of the story.
I really liked the commentary mode, which gives you a look into how the game was made. The commentary nodes were quite interesting, and they made sure the game was interesting to play through a second time as well. Also, the new HDR effects in the game are beautiful.

I’m so looking forward to Half-Life 2: Episode Two now - can’t wait to see what happens next in this episodic triology.
